LIFT PRESENTS DISABILITY AWARENESS AWARDS

Warren, N.J. – (PRNEWSWIRE) – October 24, 2002

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Donna Walters Kozberg, President of Lift, Inc., is pleased to announce two very special awards.

Lift, Inc. is a national nonprofit corporation that has been recruiting, training, hiring, and placing information technology professionals who have significant disabilities since 1975. Its client list includes more than eighty of the most prestigious corporations in the country. Each year Lift honors a mentor who has demonstrated exemplary dedication and professionalism. Corporate mentors are often managers, and can serve in a variety of capacities, from answering technical questions, to acting as buddies, to being internal champions.

Lift is proud to present the 2002 Mentor of the Year Award to Richard David, Manager, Finance and Executive Solutions Team, Corporate Information Management, at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. David currently manages two Lift program graduates, both of whom are highly regarded team members. In assigning projects, monitoring performance, and giving careful attention to individual strengths while shaping and facilitating the career growth of both, Mr. David has been an outstanding corporate manager and mentor.

From time to time, Lift, Inc. acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to Lift, and this year the staff and graduates of Lift are very proud to recognize a second Johnson & Johnson employee, Richard Wasilius, Vice President, Corporate Information Management, for his significant contributions to Lift’s mission. In 1998, Mr. Wasilius signed the first agreement between Lift, Inc. and Johnson & Johnson. In the past four years, he has not only expanded the program in his organization, but he has also been an outspoken and enthusiastic advocate of Lift and the employment of men and women who have disabilities throughout the Johnson & Johnson companies.

Congratulations to Mr. David, Mr. Wasilius, and Johnson & Johnson.
